Hello, my name is Amanda Wood and I teach 2nd and 3rd grade in a self-contained CI room. I grew up in Livonia, MI. I currently live in Ypsilanti, MI with my cat Dewey. I attended Eastern Michigan University and received my teaching degree in special education cognitive impairment and a graduate degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have been working with individuals with special needs for over 10 years. I started my career tutoring children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).  This helped foster my love and passion for teaching special education.  This will be my sixth year teaching at Logan Elementary and could not be more excited! In the past, I worked at Burger School, a center based program, for individuals with autism.  In my free time I love to exercise, cook, travel and spend time with my family and friends.
