Hello 8th grade families! I am so excited for another year of reading and writing! This is my sixth year teaching, and my fourth year at STEAM. I grew up on the east side of the state before moving to Washtenaw County in 2010. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018 with a BA in Elementary Education with a focus in Language Arts. I now live in the STEAM neighborhood, and have two daughters here at the school. I love reading and getting kids to love it, too. When I’m not teaching I love spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling, board games, and all things arts and crafts. We spend a lot of time at the Ann Arbor parks, and especially love tubing the cascades. I am also an improv comedian, and spend a lot of my free time making up stories in front of strangers.
